I truly wish Fidelity would get rid of them all!
Reinvent yourself Buttercup, like everyone will have to do over their working lifetime.
No doubt you're the most talented, but you choose to move into a shiny role that is not contributing much and you must face the consequence of that career decision.
I see the same thing with GCLs and GSLs, talented people move themselves into oblivion, ripe for the cut.
If you are the most talented, then why does it take 4 of you to make a decision? To add insult to injury, the only 3 that show up to the meeting with everyone doing the work say they need the 4th's input and will have to schedule another meeting. Rinse and repeat with any one of them.
Sorry your role has been selected as the next target. Just asking for them to be nice is not going to help. Just accept that they don’t want your role and either find a new one within fidelity, pick up some additional work within fidelity or leave. It does really su-k but you are unlikely to find much sympathy here.
Only 10% of the architects are worth keeping around.
