Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Finally seeing hiring pick up the pace

We finally had a position backfilled after waiting and praying and begging for nearly half a year to fill at least one of the three vacated positions. Is this a good sign? Does it mean that we're safe from layoffs for a while? At least until the end of the year, if nothing else?

HR recruiting is absolutely terrible. On average it takes 6 months to hire someone because of this reason. Get a good recruiter and you can do it faster, but typically recruiting is overworked and underperforming.

I'm seeing some thawing in my lob and hiring should pick up quite a bit in the coming months.

That's optimistic based on that sample size - 1 of 3 approved?

All the new hires I have seen are hybrid even when the rest of the team has approved exceptions to RTO.

I have yet to hear of a new hire that is fully time WFH.

I wouldn’t call filling 1 of 3 vacancies picking up so to speak. Especially not after groveling to get the 1.

Which area? Where? Remote or in office?
