I was let go from Sunrise with out any warning. It looks like the new management coming from christina lake to sunrise is already making changes. I voluntary transferred to sunrise from Christina lake to get away from the management there. Good luck to everyone else that is left there.

I know someone who was layed off from a Calgary based department last month too. They're still consolidating after the Husky merger. There's probably more to come, they'll just keep it under 50 people every 4 weeks so they don't have to announce anything.

One of my friends was just laid off from operations too. They told us in the morning meeting that the person had quit. When I talked with them they told me they were laid off and given a package.
@3dnd+1k9SPIFl Not true at all. They are happening constantly one by one so no attention is drawn to the departments or the different plants. People are slowly disappearing. People without work performance problems. If it was based on performance then they would just let you go. They don't have to give a layoff or a big package. I am from operations and personally know and have worked with people who were recently let go and they were not bad performers.
Not to add insult to injury, but operations layoffs were finished long ago. At this point is about individual performance.
