By this time the emails should be out in Asia Japan UK and Australia and there is nothing posted here about it. At least UK seems to be very vocal around here but I am not seeing anybody saying they got the infamous email. What is going on?

APJC definitely impacted, invites sent and calls happening on Tuesday local time for those being fired from the US

I think you can stop there. It's utter garbage.
UK won't find out until Jan. Same for other parts of EMEA. Employment law and notification periods vary country by country so it's legally impossible to announce everyone on the same day.
Nothing on the East coast yet. It is 9AM here, not sure why some think we are still sleeping
Heard of some being notified at Cisco Live, Australia. US not awake yet.
