Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

What a lousy separation package

So got my meeting today and out the door I am. What a sh*t separation package. 3 months for normal exit, 4 months for early exit.

The Total Package includes the time after notification in which you are not working to look for internal roles, the In Lieu Period, and the severance period.

They did say 6 months plus more for time served. Is it 3 months plus paycheck until march. Is that how they get 6 months?

I listened to the November check-in. They said it would be a 6 month package starting Dec 12. The said you had a choice for your last day: either first week of Feb or March 13th.

Man... when i got laid off during covid they gave a 6 month separation package and 6 months paid medical. I could never work for Cisco again, I hated worrying about my job every 6 months lol

Best of luck finding your new role

Sorry to hear. You do get regular paychecks until Feb or March correct? Add that to the severance and it’s 6 mos total. You aren’t expected to work starting at notification. I’m not sure why you’re complaining.
