I'm a foreigner. I live 45 minutes on a good day from Dearborn. I would love to RTO and still be employed at Ford.
I became SIRP in August. While enjoyed WFH, I preferred being at Ford with the benefits. Yes I'm working on job opportunities that pay more, but factoring benefit costs and smaller bonus it will be a net pay cut.
But here is the biggest thing. My visa status. Since I need sponsorship my job search is hampered and the job opportunities are less. I am having to work legally to stay in the country while looking for a job.
I was highly rated at Ford. I am still at a loss as to why I was selected. I would gladly commute everyday again like I did prior to March 2020 in order to have remained at Ford. To see so many entitled here claiming that they can not, will not, and never will RTO, and still at Ford is disheartening.
If you are against RTO mandate why not do the needful and leave for a WFH opportunity. If that is your biggest concern? I am at a loss as to why you are against it. It hurts to see that attitude considering my situation.
