I am in Tech and we have few contractors. I heard that they are not extending their contracts due to cost issues
Any word on mortgage team layoffs on San Antonio? There's lots of us here, for now at least.
I'd think it'll be origination and supporting organizations, first. As loans get sold off, mortgage servicing will begin getting displaced. I think the displacements will be gradual over a period of a year.
What I have not seen here mentions of the supporting organizations roles (i.e., Control, IRM, HR, Finance, Technology, Audit etc.). They're going to be impacted too. When it's all said and done in a couple of years, WF will be over 20k employees slimmer.
If anyone reading this is part of the around 17k employees in Home Lending (reporting up to Fercho) - good luck.

I'm expecting around 75% of Home Lending to be laid off. I hope I'm wrong, but it'll be big. The sad thing is in this current market, you can't exactly go U/W or process at a new company. No one is hiring
