Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Reporting conduct violations

Person is very aggressive with certain people and has many instances of treating them disrespectful and demeaning them. I know this can be reported to the conduct line but I'm afraid I don't trust that I can truly remain anonymous and avoid retaliation.

Anyone have experience reporting conduct issues and live to tell the tale? Or should I just not worry about it and mind my own business?

hire an attorney and tell then about your situation to see if any laws or rights have been violated... then sue the sh@t out of them...

Do not report! HR is 100% there to protect Managers

When I first started at chase, I had a male manager cuss at me. It was bad. Other people heard it and even though I did not report it, other people reported it. The person who reported remained anonymous. But HR called me immediately to ask me what happened. The manager got into a lot of trouble. We do not go to work to endure abuse. When push comes to shove during a layoff, do you think someone like this deserves to work there over you?? No! You can report things and remain anonymous. There is a no retaliation policy.

Report it anonymously using trigger words that will mandate an investigation. Be specific with times, dates and names

I was witness to one of my peers being se-----y harassed daily by two individuals on my team. HR called me as part of the investigation to talk to me and I shared what I had observed, which was sad and disturbing. The individuals that were reported retained their leadership roles, while my peer that reported them was managed out of the bank over the course of about 60 days. One thing I've learned is that HR protects the employer and not the employee - then everyone wonders why I keep to myself and don't partake in group gatherings or outings.

I once witnessed my old manager being verbally abused via phone to the point that she cried. The person doing it was a VP. She didn't even report it...I did. HR reached out to her and honestly, was great. The man's job was suddenly was shifted elsewhere at the company and he "retired" soon after. At least in my experience...HR will do what needs to be done to make sure no negative press gets out. And in this case...that meant protecting the manager.

It's truly anonymous if you call the hotline because it's not run by JPMC

HR does protect the company. That is one reason we need to be unionized. In the mean time always document! Documentation stands up in court. I am speaking of personal experience.

I know someone who reported a code of conduct against a manager. They went to their manager, and they not only were hit for the violation, but the person was removed from their team.

I reported someone and it changed their behavior. I was not afraid to escalate the issue. I would feel worse if I wasn’t willing to stand up for myself.

Go to your me@jpmc, all resources, safety & security and report to Global security.

I would start video/voice recording these occurrences and send that to HR. Need to almost catch them in the act.

I worked with a HORRIBLE individual who would say such inappropriate things but was protected by a manager. I never went to HR as I saw the nepotism, and protection by managers because this person was good at the job. I left that department and see that this horrible person and the manger are still in that department. Someone did go to HR, but nothing was done!! No reprimands, not firing, nothing. But that person didn't get any closure.

I have to make it clear. HR does NOT protect employees, especially the lower level ones, they protect the company. Looks like you need to come up with an ….. alternative method to resolve it

i have been a victim of this myself and did not report as I too feel like the anonymous line is not so anonymous. bottom line, HR is here to protect the company, not us
