April is one week so far, at least for the BUs I’m in touch with

245 summer is packed with the WTC building under renovation. I don’t think they could fit more people even if they wanted to. AM and FCM are already 2 weeks with plans to increase more, but they get dedicated space.

An FI leader this week told associates that the new phase of requiring more than the current 5 day consecutive week per month won’t start until June. (Probably 2 weeks per month). Do I believe him? NO. Associates have been much more vocal on-site this week with leaders about how all of this detracts from productivity and work/life balance. But I doubt it will matter.

Required multiple days a week would be terrible too. It shouldn’t go back to what it was before. Home works. Home is productive. Even if we can’t all go back every day all day, of course, thank god?

It’s a test and learn process. A lot of sites are at capacity so there is no way everyone can be back. Some higher-ups have requested to opt out of the 5 days for their groups, but doubtful it will be allowed. They want to see more of what many had before, 3-4 days in the office but in every week. Not a solid 5 days. I think some are seeing the productivity loss. Imagine that, working from home is more productive!

I have been hearing two weeks via multiple sources since November, with a start around March.

This is more than before the pandemic for a lot of groups. Hate the open seating and being judged about every little move.

I sure hope not, of course my management only says that they “have no idea” what the next phase will be. I know with this first new dynamic week already I’m not even able to book a conference room for meetings (which are all still on Zoom btw) because they’re all booked up.

I don't know how this is going to work, there will/have to be exceptions and in turn a lot of internal fighting. There are a lot of people who were working remote before covid. This is just a slow pull to being back in the office full time. I'm guessing people who are being forced into the office that passed up on the VBO are kicking themselves right now.

maybe you should quit if you can't handle going into the office. How entitled can you be?

I've been told April it will be 5 days contiguous and then 5 more days (you choose) across the other three weeks.

I don’t think any changes to the one-full-week a month rule will change until April. The Dynamic Work site has my group scheduled for one week through March. But who knows. It’s all about upper management’s scorecards and nothing else. Those folks will force associates to adhere to whatever directive they pass down, even if it doesn’t benefit the associates role and reduces their quality of life. Are the company’s benefits worth it? We shall see.
