Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Do you believe this, what a bunch of clowns

“ntel held their PC TAM (total addressable market) and Roadmap Update event online yesterday. It drew some major question marks. Frankly, the whole thing was just bizarre…….

This report will walk through the oddities of this presentation, how out of touch some of Intel’s executives are with the market and general consumer, the roadmap update including exclusive Lunar Lake details, AI’s infusion into client SOCs, and some of the Arm vs. x86 Intel vs. x86 AMD market share figures.

“The event started with Intel bragging about how accurate their market intelligence and forecasting teams are…..”

I am not sure who is the bigger clown. Intel execs or the authors of this article. May be both.

: @1wga+1kFZML45 Reflection if the CEO and ELtT of the kind of culture of communication and narrative they tolerate.

If they accept and tolerate lying about their company narrative to the outside it pretty much says what they permit and allow their staff to tell them.

It or any wonder ELT is lied to, surprised about $hit that they aren’t told. Intel is such a $hit show of a culture of deception and reality distortion, such a sad ending.

Would have never happened on Bob or Andy’s watch

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 “The event started with Intel bragging about how accurate their market intelligence and forecasting teams are…..”

New CEO ramps headcount in 2020/2021... Earnings call early 2022 says demand looks strong... future so bright I gotta wear shades..

Then the roof caves in and he say, we could not foresee the decline in demand... it was external shock. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

What in the bleep. Even a novice business person could tell you everybody bought equipment due to the stay at home movement. Of course the demand would fall off after all that demand was pulled forward. Intel forecasters / planners have models for this and they should have known better. Furthermore, when Pat got the forecasts he should have used his business sense to realize the rug would get pulled out in 2022. He should have told the forecasters to re-evaluate their rosy forecasts... but he didn't.

The entire episode is just a complete embarrassment...

Ice-cold PC market sees worst sales ever in fourth quarter. The 28.1 percent drop was the worst ever, Gartner said

You have to give it to the leadership, the PEs, fellows and what not who repeated and still repeat the mantra ad infinitum. No surprise that Intel is where it is on the declining ramp.
