If the street listened the Charlie the stock would be doing a heck of a lot better. Investors don't care about the past unless liabilities come from it, they are focused on what's going to happen with earnings/dividends in the future that will help them make $.

Surprisingly, it's currently up $1.39 to a value not seen since back in December.

I must not have properly communicated my point. My point is that Wall Street does NOT pay attention to the complete facts and history and only listens to the most recent bs sound bites that Charlie puts out.

@sff quit acting like Wall St. cares about 3 months back. That's ancient history.

That’s only because Charlie threw out some corporate-speak bs “signaling more of it’s scandals are heading toward conclusion”.

He talks out of both sides of his mouth.

Only 3 months ago, in his testimony to the Senate Banking Committee he said “We still have several years of work to do to meet expectations for risk management and our regulators. We have outstanding litigation, regulatory matters, and customer remediations to resolve, and until our broad book of risk, control and regulatory work is complete, we remain at risk for setbacks.”

So weird, cutting business lines reduces revenue? Once the interest rate bonanza ends expect the top line to crater as WFC falls deeper into its death spiral.

@zli why didn’t you exchange your Wells Fargo stock part of the 401k match into something else? I did that almost immediately.

It’s even, pre-opening. Investors had (foolishly) bid the stock up in the past few days hoping for a better 4th quarter report.
