Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Jobs added at BAC CIT and JPM, but cut at WFC.

Charlie is such a pa--y. His only skill is to cut, reduce, sell, shrink, destroy, retreat, settle, stop, offshore, close, lay-off. This guy couldn’t build and lead a healthy thriving business to save his life.

The true bloat at Wells Fargo is our extremely overpaid do-little senior management and above, not the people on the front lines who are actually doing the work.

Our department has three Managing Directors who rarely came out of their corner offices pre-Covid, and never come in to the office now. They don’t know the work, they can’t do the work, they can’t answer a question, they don’t know enough to prevent a crisis, they can’t help during a crisis, they don’t plan ahead for looming problems, they can’t problem-solve, they don’t understand the systems and their limitations, they don’t know the regulatory issues. And these are the people we keep and pay Multi- Millions of $ per year,to, but we have to get rid of the $35,000 back office employee?? Please.

Do the math. Look at their asset size compared to total employees. Wells was incredibly bloated.

"the program is full of non-US citizens"

What's "filled"? Citation needed.

Complain that you can’t find skilled US citizens to fill these jobs. US citizens apply to universities to train for these skilled jobs. Universities do not accept US citizens into the field of study because the program is full of non-US citizens. Complain that you can’t find US citizens to fill these jobs.

Here is how other banks are operating with less employees: They have the technology.

Charlie is cutting people before we are able to operate properly without manual intervention. No exaggeration, our department/business could be cut in half if we had the proper technology. But we need people on the frontend and the backend to intervene on very simple processes because we can not even get in line for system updates.

Just pick one business line, for example “Online Trading”, and start asking questions about how many employees are needed to keep it appearing to function like the other banks. It’s all a charade.

Don't those companies still have less employees than WFC? They have less employees and make more money? Can you do the math?

still plenty of jobs and if you look at the jobs site the number in north America is increasing each day. my group got approval recently for a dozen or so new hires.

Literally all of the banks will be downsizing this year, don’t worry, the only real difference we have is closing more branches and a bigger mortgage biz so more to cut there as market slows.

Power has already shifted from employee to employer, all you bemoaning the 3/2 RTO, unfortunately it might actually get enforced now, or worse, back to office 5 days.

You work in risk and most of risk sit around all day you say?!?!?!
Oh, I believe that. You can tell by the constant onslaught or regulatory fines that stack up daily. ALL of risk should be trimmed down to 0 and start all over.

Charlie needs to cut more jobs. He has been disappointing as a chainsaw

I work in risk and 3 teams around me have doubled in size and most of them sit around all day doing nothing

since banks say they can hire 3 offshore for every 1 US employee, curious at how many offshore employees each bank has compared to onshore
