Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Quiet before the storm…

I can literally hear a pin drop after the earnings report. No one wants to be in the office today in Dallas. Death by a thousand cuts (9000 to be exact). Sooner? Later? When does the party start?🥳

Layoffs will increase due to former "growth" areas of the bank now being given hiring freezes coupled with Cost Reduction targets. The bottleneck will be how many layoffs can be processed, which stands at ~2000 per month. This will drive when they occur.

Total nonsense. Nobody came in because there are 4 work days this week and only need to be in 2 days this week. They will be in tomorrow and Thursday.

I don't think the earnings changed anything from a layoff standpoint. They saw this coming a mile away. They aren't going to layoff more than already planned due to the earnings. The market actually liked the earnings or comments. Without the large one times, income actually grew. Not saying we're safe, just that the earnings didn't change the plan.
