GTS is IT. They already outsourced 90% of that department to India/H1B.
However, all of the "Big Tech Layoffs" seem to be targeting the H1Bs. US Companies over-hired H1B. Now they have to correct it. Plus, I think they are finally realizing that it is actually costing them more money and providing less deliverables. The gig is up.
Since headlines might boost the stock maybe they'd want headlines?

Departments like Revenue Assurance will be gutted, outsourcing nearly all of it.

You can dedicate some time each day towards browsing job listings on Indeed and LinkedIn. If you happen to be laid off, you'll leave with a nice severance package. If not, you can still hurt the company by quitting shortly after a round of layoffs.
