At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful. It basically gives mean people a shield to be mean and cruel, armored in false virtue. "Elon Musk"

"Craig and VGS will be responsible for most shared services teams within Verizon including Real Estate, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Fleet, Finance Operations, Global Technology Solutions, Reporting and Insights, Learning and Development, Public Policy and Information Security. "

Learning and Development and Reporting and Insights would probably be hit the hardest.

GTS is IT. They already outsourced 90% of that department to India/H1B.

However, all of the "Big Tech Layoffs" seem to be targeting the H1Bs. US Companies over-hired H1B. Now they have to correct it. Plus, I think they are finally realizing that it is actually costing them more money and providing less deliverables. The gig is up.

Since headlines might boost the stock maybe they'd want headlines?

It will be targeted and in small chunks over the course of the year to avoid the headlines.

Departments like Revenue Assurance will be gutted, outsourcing nearly all of it.

He somehow tried to make it seem like it wasn’t answering and making odd comparisons isntead of just saying yes. Went on way to long about it for it compared to anyone I’ve ever heard field that question before.

Thanks for sharing this information. It’s no surprise. That’s how Hans positioned him back in the late summer/ Fall for this new role. Audit all the systems and services and look for redundancies and areas of efficiencies.

Craig knows and has known the approximate percentage of people that went to layoff and approximately win. he doesn’t want to cause panic by announcing anything.

It's probably wise to start looking for a new job now, as you'll have a head start over others. Leaving a toxic company and putting yourself first is important. Given the current state of this company, with confirmation of layoffs and a struggling stock price, it's best to be proactive and start your job search now. You can dedicate some time each day towards browsing job listings on Indeed and LinkedIn. If you happen to be laid off, you'll leave with a nice severance package. If not, you can still hurt the company by quitting shortly after a round of layoffs.
