That's as 91 tech companies globally have axed 24,151 jobs, just 15 days into 2023.
1,023 tech companies laid off 154,256 workers in 2022, per data aggregated by Layoffs.fyi.

@pky+1kJy5D2f is right, plenty of opportunity, Offers coming left and right, also Intel trying to lock me down to my role.
I know some laid off, already had another offer in hand, nothing like taking severance and starting with a hiring bonus. Market is starving for talent.

Turn off Faux News. I am getting job offers left and right from various head hunters across the Globe. Maybe for people like you who do nothing but whine, the competition will be fierce, but those of us with skills are doing just fine.
