Thread regarding IBM layoffs

"We've weathered the storm..."

"When I talk to people and ask them about their business, they seem to think their business is OK," C***, now the vice chairman of IBM, told Yahoo Finance Live at the WEF this week. "So everyone here seems to think the other person has a problem. My personal view on this is: I think we've weathered the storm in the United States. It feels like we're coming out in a fairly decent place."

In the day we sweat it out over a keyboard and a screen
Of a runaway international dream
At night we ride through the code of glory
In su----e business machines
Sprung from cages on Orchard Road
Chrome wheeled, fuel injected, and steppin' out over the line
Oh, baby this town rips the compiler from your back
It's a death trap, it's a su----e rap
We gotta get out while we're young
'Cause IBMers like us, baby, we were born to run

A trip to Davos, eh? Guess the money saved by re-deploying all those folks is being utilized appropriately.

"I think we've weathered the storm" when someone says, "I think" they usually are lying. Stop thinking, fire those blaming, not those taking the blame. If you seriously have hired a bunch of millennial crybabies, who blame in convos, fail to be sincere, and can't take responsibility for something unless it is a success, get rid of them. Save the company some money.
