Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

RTO and remote work policies are b.s. unless you have top cover...

despite all of the nonsense on RTO and remote work and the pain a manager has to go through to hire someone who is a telecommuter it all boils down to who you know and who your boss is.

have someone on my team who as very little work experience but who was hired last year as a telecommuter. the person has no special skills that would warrant it under Saul's policy but here we are.

for those who do not know, if a hiring manager wants to hire you as a telecommuter they have to go through a process justifying why and why they could not find someone to fill the role at a core location. These have to get approved by Saul.

The department head loved a guy he hired. Gave him a two level promotion, huge raise, and permanent remote status in a state with no WF.

Exactly. It's been who you know forever and at every company.
