Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Manilla will now be training us

So I’m told that Bobby is super impressed with the CCS’s performance in Manilla. After call listening.. they sound “much happier than us”. Supposed to be training us now how to preform better.

After 7 months of fearing for our jobs and having constant layoffs held over our head as any reason to let us go.. you’re seriously shocked they sound happy?

They make a ridiculous amount of money for the country they live in and they’re new to it.
Yet you’re shocked that they sound happier than us. Then you acknowledge layoffs and essentially say that it’s happening again but “keep your head up and work hard”

Everyone needs to be prepared. Processing will be completely moved to Manilla by the end of this year.
You can lay people off respectfully but Chase didn’t want to implement any of that I see.

What a hostile work environment.

His sole mission is to move as much work offshore as possible and put all of us hardworking Americans to the CURB! Imagine your life's work is pushing good paying jobs offshore just to build your own personal net worth while destroying that of hundreds/thousands of others. Ahhh Capitalism!

How many CCS are based in Manila?

Is Chase planning to close (one of) the other CCS sites?

I'm a Field CCS in Cleveland, and I feel we are constantly told we're safe since other sites hate doing NY loans, and now we'll be getting Centralized NY loans and training to work LowC loans to pump up our loan totals. And also because Chase has such a small footprint in Cleveland they can't just move us to another department since we don't have a dedicated workspace/office and a lot of other departments CCS are transferred to require you to work in the office, at least some of the time.

My managers could be getting fed BS to keep them happy and feel secure until the higher ups decide to pull the plug for good. Time will tell, I guess.

Manila is never held to the same standards. They water down the job so much for them and streamline it to where all they have to do is basically check boxes. Even then, the amount of mistakes they make are staggering. No worries, clean up will just take place later. That is the chase way. If it is not broken, we will break it!!!

until the tides turn again and they get slammed like we did with 100+ in pipelines. will they be held to the same standards ? or will it be the same message as now.... oh it's Manila ...so it's ok . will they be inundated with reports, contact strategies, systems not working, uncooperative customers and yet still expected to get top surveys? What will happen when they dangle those "carrots" in front of Manila, making promises they know they can't keep and Manila get tired of hearing it? time will tell. My guess is much like other failed ideas, the higher ups will continue to tell us how this is a great thing and how we should be excited until they can no longer BS anymore and come up with a different plan.
