aka the annual cull. did someone not do the math or was this a calculated move to just sc--w with peoples lives. so far im not impressed with this leadership. periodt.

They harass their employees with mindless reviews, check-ins, development plans, seminars, etc. all the while making it more more difficult to do your job. I think part of it is they want to harass you to the point where you leave on your own.

sorry, I appreciate the "me-too" game mentioned, but I was broached with this 'merge', RIF to happen over 6-9 months ago. It's not as knee-jerk as you may think. And you don't think that the 'Change' program and McKinsey didn't validate/green light their acceleration assumptions any of these layoffs?

TR execs and mgmt strategy:

  • layoff employees in US and Europe
  • offshore jobs to Mexico and India
  • layoffs/offshoring seen as reduced expenses by stock market
  • TRI stock prices go up
  • execs/mgmt sell shares & cash out w/ $$$$
  • investors sell TRI shares & cash out w/ $$$$
  • customers complaining & canceling subscriptions
  • execs/mgmt leave TR
  • anyone remaining at TR left to clean up the mess
