Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Objectives

So now is mainly the ftow’s writing all the orders and the reps get the bonuses from doing nothing to hit their objectives?

I don’t even try to sell anything in anymore. There’s no point anymore and zero motivation. I go to work and I go home.

That's a laugh, keep trying to convince yourself! I go to stores and see Keebler out displaying Mondelez about everywhere. Sure, I'm know you argue "cause the rep is bad and you are great", well guess what, retailers have a higher profit margin on Keebler and until Mondelez exits DSD that won't change.
People need to wake up and brace themselves for reality, DSD is ending. They are letting go of the best selling reps they have. That alone ought to tell ya!

the roll out of Mission One cements the fact they are not doing away with DSD .. they are going to run DSD in more cost effective way..
Fewer and fewer people with 401ks.. fewer cars, bonuses that are hard to meet the new requirements for .... it’s the d-mbing down of DSD.. FTOWs who will do the same job for less and less benefits…

People need to focus on getting new jobs and not a bonus structure for a company that they won't be working for long term. The writing has been on the wall and all people have been arguing is, "we aren't Keebler". Well guess what the last of the few remaining Keebler reps are doing today? Taking pictures for compliance and occasionally selling in additional display pieces when and where they can. They have a small bonus structure.
Wish we were Keebler, how they handled the transition was a whole lot more compassionate and generous than Mondelez has! Employees were not left in the dark, were given generous packages including keeping a company car.
It is only going to worse at Mondelez, not better! To work for Mondelez is bottom of the barrel, no thanks!

So, sales reps aren't bonuses on sales anymore? Sounds like we are turning into mini DMs and merchandisers are turning into mini sale reps that are payed less than Walmart stockers.

We are being told Sales reps sell. The bonus structure for reps will be based on F&D competition & compliance. Merchandisers will go from 5% to 10% bonus and get monthly and quarterly bonus based on sales. This is a train wreck. It’s not about the stores anymore it’s all about the upper management telling us what to do and showing pictures to prove it. They place all the value in number of displays in a store over actual relationships and hitting numbers.

Throwing loads until “fully staffed”. Then I heard just merchandising major holes in the aisle. I have store managers calling me from my last territory and they haven’t seen the new sales rep yet.

If the FTOWs are writing all the orders, then what are the sales rep doing? Throwing freight?
