Regardless of the fact that this place is no longer what it used to be, I don't really believe those who say they would like to be laid off.
Why would anyone want that? Isn't it better to find a new job while you still have a job, which is viewed more favorably by potential employers?

Americans respect your skills and work ethic and we support our H-B workers.
I'm with you poster, I don't understand why people would want to get laid off. It seems selfish. I had a spouse laid off and it was the worst time we ever went through. But I digress, this entire website is for the bitter and laid off to crab about how they hate everyone and everything at BNY. I've been there ten years, have more than doubled my salary and loved almost everyone I've worked with.
You’re very likely to be in the beginning stages of working here, certainly in your first 5-10 years. When you’re here longer you’ll begin to grasp the constant drip, drip, drip of annual benefits cuts. Eventually you’ll be shell shocked from the constant cuts.
We need American to resign to allow us sponsoring highly qualified H1b workers.
Because it would force your hand with no regrets. Bo-m. (As opposed to a choice where one can have second thoughts).
