401k Net Worth - random huge spike last week

Anyone else notice an odd and unfortunately temporary huge spike in their Net Worth in Empower about a week ago? Some kind of error clearly but was curious. Nothing corresponding in the transaction history log.

It’s the company 401k match. They no longer match each pay period. They wait until year end and put it in all at once.

I had a rebalance that was supposed to have happened last week, but it didn't happen. Something's strange. I don't know that I trust them, but what can we do.....?

I thought that was just me, like I hadn't been paying attention for a couple days, and I noticed a substantial increase. I guess you noticed it too, and it's out of band ? OMG we're screwed. When does the settlement for the earlier malfeasance get deposited ? I haven't seen that yet, still hanging tight.

It's well known that Empower is the Pinto of administrators. WF clearly doesn't give a sh!t about employees when they pick bottom-of-the-barrel providers. We are NOT in good hands.

Do you mean just in the 401K or something including other accounts? There is a section where you can input or link to other banks/accounts, etc. to see your "total financial picture" but this is just a scam for them to get more data from you and market you paid services. Don't give them any information on any of your other assets, especially since it could be shared back with WF, I don't want my employer knowing anything about my affairs.

Yeah, I noticed it in the "performance" section, but balanced stayed the same. It's as if they took the money out and then redeposited it.
