Q4 results underwhelming and future predictions light. Are layoffs coming?

Common sense indicates: The layoffs scheduled for 1Q were already planned in 4Q. If anything, 4Q lackluster results will cause new higher targets for cost savings and reductions than what has already been planned. Another new scheme will be coerced pockets of return to office, which will drive voluntary separations versus paying a severance as a result of an action. It's going to be a rough 14-16 months.
@1pif+1kQBJs6A- legally, you can't layoff thousands of people and only give them a two week notice. By law, they have to give them a 60 day notice. Know your rights.
Have a friend that works at AT&T and he told me they had a very big group meeting today for people that will be laid off next month. He thinks it's in the thousands. They only get a 2 week notice to be off payroll after final notice.
I hope so. I've decided to pack my bags and move on from this place. Leadership doesn't know what the he-l they are doing and I'm tired of waiting for them to come around and show me promise. Hoping I can cash in on a golden parachute before I go!!!
If they are, it will be announced in a week. They would want to layoff before raises are in effect.
Of course.
You bet. That's always the case. Nothing has changed.
