What is it like to work for IT&V?
In audit now. Heard they aren’t tied to a specific framework. Jumbled guidance. No direction. High turnover.
Heard the people are nice. Strong managers depending on where you land.

I don’t know if you’re still reading this but no it doesn’t have to be better. It’s not better. Maybe find some kind of technology control role but itv will make you miserable. EBCE is streamlined but they are least know what they’re doing. Patrick Dillon is literally a former lawyer with no audit or testing background trying to make testing methodology.
Got tobetter than technology audit. The leader is not one & can hardly use technology let alone audit it. ITV is better option
EBCE is where you go to end your career, not IT&V.
400+ jobs on the system today when searching for “risk and control” and the vast majority were testing roles…in India.
Yeah a majority of your testers will be from India so good luck having productive meetings with them during your working hours. Teams do want people with quality testing experience but they only value audit.
If you absolutely need a breather from audit I’d do ITV for a year but the longer you’re there the harder it is to get out. Audit really is the best place to test within Wells. I think most of the department minus a few data folks are domestic. Don’t take that for granted
As for the comment that it is where people go to end their career, that is wrong. Some departments want people with good testing abilities and it seems to be rare in this company. Having a couple years in ITV can be a good addition to your IA experience.
If you are looking to leave IA it’s not horrible.
I was one of the huge exodus from that department a year ago. It was a mess at the top, may be getting better now who knows. When I left it was mostly contractors from third world countries doing the work. Reviewing their work was a nightmare.
They desperately need people so make sure your pay is high.
Good bonuses but the RCSA/EBCE is still having many issues.
I would consider it moving from IA though. You are correct, there are some good leaders but even they were ready to leave when I did.
Hey. Someone who made a similar jump. Don’t do it. Don’t do it. Do. Not. Do. It. IT&V is lead by a former lawyer with no risk or control experience. The methodology is maddening and the timelines you’re given are unrealistic. If you join you’re likely gonna be thrown into the RCSA cluster fu-k where there’s weekly guidance that changes how we scope. Also the staff is trash. None of them know the difference between a risk and control. It’s also a career ending move. Nobody respects it&v . Your best bet will be to move back to audit and reset your career.
Don’t do it. That was always the word in audit. IT&V is a cake walk. It’s not. Very unorganized. Join control. I heard it’s chill over there.
It&V gets a bad rap but anytime you have to tell others they do a bad job you won’t be popular.

I had pretty much nothing to do for 9 months in 2022 because my team finished our ICT work early in 2022. Low stress. Lots of collaboration.
