Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Trying to save my job for as long as possible

I'm hoping for the best, but I'm preparing just in case. The fact that I have been looking for a better offer for a little longer than three months makes me a bit nervous. In the meantime, I'm trying to do my best here with the hope that it will help me keep my job, but at the same time I'm not sure if it is even possible to make your work safer in any way?

Technically he isn't lying. Chase is actually hiring...in Manila, India...etc. Now why would he make himself and the company look bad in the media?!! All a facade.

I find it funny the ceo says his firm is still hiring on the news but apparently it’s for fear control. If the ceo can take back what he said about economic hurricane before that, then he can definitely take back what he promised that the firm is still hiring and layoff still going on. “We are still hiring despite other banks are laying off, oops, now I am not :)”

Culture is horrible, work environment is horrible, people are horrible, pay is horrible, and defending your CEO 24x7 for his childish/actions that is praise for taking 15 million less in bonus for the people while layoffs continue. Why would anyone work there?

That won’t work. Otherwise there wouldn’t be anyone to let go off during a layoff. You can, however, kiss your manager’s rear to make them like you so they can save you
