I think he means folks supporting HR activities in some cases are off shore and for benefit support, dependent verification etc as all that work appears to be offshore in India. I had to get support once for an issue and they wanted me to fax information which I did at least six times and was a nightmare and simple item took two months but the service rep was nice.

All I could say is….do you honestly trust an off shore HR rep with all of your personal information ? Give it time before your personal info is stolen. What a frickin disaster.
HR is a joke at AT&T.
AT&T's gambling operations are offshore in the Cayman Islands.
Corporate HR leadership has never been located outside the US. Stop making up sh$t. BTW HR organizations are integrated throughout the business; but you'd need to be knowledgeable about their functions to know that. It's obvious those responding to this are sadly clueless.
This post is hilarious and the responses are indicative of people who lack any insight regarding corporate organizational structure. More than misinformation, it's lack of basic knowledge. Yeah, let's get rid of the Payroll department...they clearly are unnecessary. Oh wait, Time Management and Payroll are part of HR? The uneducated reign here. Nitwits
Because the company is ran by mo--ns.
HR is where level 4's and above promote their secretaries to a management position as a reward for the service(s)
Previous post is from someone in HR. They are truly the worst people at the company. They are barely human, and most definitely not a resource.
I have worked with multiple HRBP over the years. Always pleasant experiences and a joy to work with. Not sure where all of this hostility is coming from.
"I've been at AT&T a loooooooong time. And I've never once seen an HR person"
Me neither...
People working HR jobs were raised lacking integrity. Their parents lacked integrity, it’s generational.
What an embarrassment for the Sambar Luong org, can't even get the IIL out as promised.
lots of HR personnel in the markets
There are some in Dallas.
HR? Are they even still around anymore?
Are you somehow trying to imply that Santone lives and works offshore? Last I heard, she lived in a mcmansion in Stankeys neiborhood.
I've been at AT&T a loooooooong time. And I've never once seen an HR person
Nobody in HR has a soul anyway.
Cheaper. Has expendable workers, no benefits, no pensions, no union, no regulations....
