Received my compensation numbers. More than expected actually. Good bonus and good merit increase. Layoffs are still in the back of my head. My dept is extremely slow right now. We are basically not doing anything and we’re just waiting to start on projects. Is the writing in the wall?

My numbers were a bit better than I expected, but I'm still losing money when inflation is taken into account.
WF hasn't been a fun place to work, and I was planning to walk out as soon as the money hits my account, but might stick around for another month (March is a 3 paycheck month).
I’m under operation utilities FCO.
What is your org? Mine are very busy... a lot of works indeed
It is insane. If they knew what they were going to do months ago why do they need more months to figure out how to do it because of unanticipated risks. Get this nightmare over with. Give the people who have put in the time severance. How do they STILL not know what they are doing. People can’t focus on work when there is neverending threat of layoff.
Why would you get paid more to do nothing?
I want to work there :)
If you make it through tomorrow you’ll have a stay of execution until March.
What type of work? Can you at least give an org? Maybe others could shed light with more detail
