Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Layoffs on 2/8

The rumor where I am is 2/8 and that it involves all CD HLA’s. The source who told me said they heard it from a reliable source, so who knows. 2/8 is a Weds which would make sense as a date since I believe all would be working on site unless they are still work from home and there are very few of those. I imagine if it were involving this many people they’d try to accomplish the layoffs in person.

Is there any way to confirm this?

So is this the week for home lending again? I haven’t heard anything but then again I’m just a part of a spoke in a very large wheel.

Retail HLAs are leaving their positions to other companies who are offering a higher guarantee & higher BPs. I have heard talk the incentive plan will change in March. (Fingers crossed.) It’s feels Chase mortgage does not care about their employees. Management seems completely disconnected from their teams.

When Covid hit we were offered the guarantee & now nothing +incentive plan has increased to make it harder to get paid. We are hammered everyday on how many calls we make in HLCC & marketing cloud emails. We were having to complete surveys daily on activities for the day. Then all the sudden it went away. Wondering if this was nationwide? It would be nice if we could be told the end game is for Chase mortgage.

I was told by management 2/8th layoffs for remote HLAs covering retail branches. Apparently, opening the branches up to the local HLAs.

How many employees are still
In CD?

I had heard from a reliable source that there will be a Massive House Cleaning on February 8th. I can only hope this is not true but we have to face the facts. Work is slow and business is business.

All my oppinion I don’t know anything except for the fact someone On here is having fun spreading fear

Maybe all “branch” CD HLAs. Maybe all of refi with top performers moved to the new universal role.

Yes business is up - just check the lead stats and call drops. To those who know we are at 9,000 ish leads for January in CD purchase alone. That’s almost a 100% increase from nov / Dec.

In fact January is about to be the same volume equivalent as Aug / sept. Granted those apps won’t fund till Feb / mar. It’s going to be like a 2019 market if anything

CCS should be worried because of Manila - Small sites like Milwaukee / Jax probably should be worried.

They are not about to dissolve centralized. But they may make us all universally skilled bankers like purch, refi, etc

Rates are headed back to 5 by summer or fall. The worst is over for now. If you survived this far and could pay your bills congrats!

Prior layoffs have occurred in the last month of the quarter, towards the end of the month. All CD HLA’s?? It would be smarter to just place employees in other depts, than to risk hiring in a society where no one wants to work.

I would agree with the person below me but every single time we had layoffs these past few months, the dates being floated around were always correct.

So in this case I have to believe feb 8 is real

Feb. 8th? Unless from multiple high-ups (above first level managers) that date is just pulled out of a hat. 1st level and in many cases 2nd level managers don’t get that info. 2nd level only gets it a couple days before to brace themselves for what they have to do since some of them are assumedly on the block too. Postings are also not indicative of where job cuts may or may not be. The hiring team isn’t in the loop when it comes to future cuts. They’re told when it happens to pull postings that are deemed irrelevant moving forward. Perception isn’t reality when it comes to future cuts. Just do your job and hope it isn’t you. Or if you’re hoping it is you, then keep hoping for it. To each their own. I hope each gets what they want.

Business has turned a corner? Are you delusional? If you are going to be in the mortgage business, Chase is the WORST place to be.
