“Pay cuts are how you get the talent to leave.”
Tell me what real talent our VPs and so called leaders have. ChatGPT can do their work, rephrasing news reports and other people’s ideas and opinions, at much lower cost.

Cutting VP pay is not enough. PG should get rid of those dead weight, most VPs, senior business and technical leaders, and promote capable younger people to refresh the leadership. This will save money and infuse new blood to rejuvenate this aging company.

Pay cuts are how you get the talent to leave. The jobs are always available for the talented, even now.

OP, you do realize that Apple CEO Tim Cook still stands to make $49M after the pay cut, right?

A 40% pay cut when you make THAT much money is nothing but a PR stunt.

Jeez, if I made $49M in one year I'd retire and travel the world or something, and probably donate to organizations helping to get the homeless off the streets.

Not just PG, everyone who doesn’t get laid off should get a 15% pay cut. This disaster wasn’t all the CEO’s fault. Everyone who works there contributed. Execution problems are usually not at the executive level.
