Has anyone heard any rumors of layoffs for tomorrow? I know they are coming just trying to brace myself

13 laid off in Bellevue and 18 in Seattle. Just a really bad time to be putting mortgage folks out on the unemployment line with the housing situation sure to turn soon. This market still has legs. Very short sighted.
How many were affected in total, in the US?
Here we go. 2 mortgage colleagues in SEA office escorted out. 3 more have meetings for this afternoon. Time to head home for a drink.

9am EST will begin the rollout of layoff emails. By 11am EST, all impacted should be notified. They won’t be in-person. The notifications will be email only with the timeline for WARN (where needed) and key dates for equipment return, final check, severance and COBRA. If you’re a normal salaried employee, pretty straight forward. If you’re commissioned, you’ll want to try negotiating your severance. It will be a bit messy with draws, etc.
