Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford Brazil top place to work in 2023

Of course it is! They are hiring like a drunken sailor in Brazil and Mexico. While axing everyone in Dearborn.

So congrats Ford of Brazil! I don't think there will be a similar award in North America.

Great corporate strategy, close all the manufacturing plants in a country but retain the engineering services. India, Brazil and Australia, no manufacturing, but they maintain engineering staff. When GM leaves a region they shut everything down to cut losses and they know the majority of their money is made here in the USA. Ford on the other hand is set on destroying the local economies and offering corporate welfare to regions where they do not make or sell vehicles in any appreciable volumes.

They should lose all of their NA customers, they deserve it.

Yep cause they are hiring in Brazil. Ford will be considered the same in Mexico too.

NA? Not so much.

Like in Germany, their engineers are unionized too. Layoffs are more difficult.
