Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

More layoffs…

So many employees doing very little meaningful work. Yet they are shocked when layoffs come.

They have lived a life working for a company with low expectations and low skill set requirements.

Just ask them… the company will collapse without them lol.

Every company, including at&t, needs to layoff every quarter to get rid of the ringers.

I have been waking round one of the “collaboration hubs” for the last couple of weeks working and I amazed at how so many people do so little work. I saw a guy the other morning watching a moving on his iPad as I walked by. He put it down because he saw me. We have a lot of dead weight. And I find that the only people that get offended when someone says that are usually the people that are the biggest offenders.

Not you again, the 5/5/5 rumor monger just won't stop with the nonsense! We already gave at the office! Try this rumor at Verizon or Tmob!

With each layoff, or turning of the screws, the ringers are seeking refuge. They can run but they cannot hide. They are getting very uncomfortable but they still refuse to perform any work. The ringers will get theirs!

why hire anybody in the first place if they are not required. att uses layoffs to save on benefits and then they go hire new people to fill the jobs they just laid off.

att is the sc-m of the earth. sorry to all the good sc-m out there.

I'll be the first to admit what the OP is saying! I make a very good weekly rate for the work I do, probably more than the industry standard by comparison. AND, it's not even that difficult or over taxing! I can see myself doing this work all the way up to 70 years of age.

There are some people that skate by, but many people work to do a good job every day here.
I have almost 3 decades invested in this place and I can say that the people who complain the most about others are the ones that usually won't work, will stab you in the back. Regardless of the jobs held, I always tried to do a good job, treat people right and remember we are working for our families.
Another thing, this forum is for people that work here and may be affected, or work here and may have information. Anyone else has no business being on here. So be considerate for others and go find something else to do.
Blessings to all.

It's a cycle guys. You start off eager to learn, and try your hardest. At their age, you will be feeling the same, TRUST.
