JK helped turn around AMD, he was trying to do the same for Intel, and with Intel's great hubris they rejected his strategy and disregarded the data showing Intel's inability to both compete & execute. Jim would have moved critical designs outside Intel, which would have kept Intel more competitive but also would have forced the fabs to modernize or die... He was overruled and the fabs continue to ki-l margin and under perform. If they want any of his magic best I think they could do would be to offer him a seat on the board, but Pat's head is too big to let himself be challenged, they have opposite views on how to make Intel successful(winning product vs IDM).

Fab Rant: Intel is the only Semi-Fab that believes CE! is a winning strategy. It should have been ki-led 15 years ago. It's only purpose now is for engineers to prop it up to pass the thinking off and prevent any critical inquiry. Intel is the only company d-mb enough to pay top dollar for obsolete tools that produce more defects and run at half the run rate because that is what Oregon runs... Need to modernize CIP, have an appetite for mismatches, any time change is matched to better it should be green lit. Need to enable upgrades regardless of maturity of a product. Stop ki-ling what little innovation is still working within the confines of Intel.
I sure wish Intel would do an open external benchmarking and see how pathetic their capabilities are in comparison to every other 300mm Manufacturer out there. It's been a long time since they were world class.

We need technical folks who can help execute rather than strategy folks. Strategy is set. Now execute and deliver. JK is great at that.

You can bring anyone - Mickey Mouse - and it won't make a difference. Too late.

If you need an egotistic alcoholic in your company, JK is your guy. Not sure why Intel would though...

JK didn't do sh-t at Intel other than get paid. In fact he had some kind of hush hush lawsuit against Intel that was settled quietly.

Bring back SA to review every White Paper in the VF. That's what's missing.

Jim’s ego will never work in any Corp, let alone Intel. To be honest, don’t know how he built his reputation because the real reputation is to act like a know it all until his management gets tired of him and fire him.

JK can design a chip, he ain’t going to fist the broken strategy!

He can’t beat the foundry ecosystem that is powering AMd, Nvidia, Apple, and Google, Amazon and others soon.

Just curious why everyone worships JK.
It’s not like he’s the only good engineer in the industry.
