Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

my solution to get out of this mess with minimal layoffs

I hope leadership considers these recommendations

  1. Suspend bonuses (apb & qpb) & instead offer long term RSU or stock options to vest upon company's success
  2. Suspend recognition tool & offer extra RSU or stock option as alternative. Suppose employee grated 500$ in recognitions, at the end of year add it to RSU amount.
  3. Offer unpaid time off or reduced salary for employees willing to have
  4. Cash annual raise for grade 9+ be pushed to 2024 & for 2023 get rewards in form of (extra) RSU only.
  5. Have NO hiring policy for 2023. no one should see on LinkedIn individuals say "I am proud to start ... #iamintel"
  6. For, low performers, reduce salaries and offer help to get back on track
  7. Have ZERO budget for all redundant evets. Employees do not like to see on social media people posting pictures of parties or evens just costing $$.
  8. Extremely important travels only & requests must be approved by a group of VPs
  9. Further reduce air shuttle flights
  10. cancel construction of fabs & only focus on Ohio and Arizona.
  11. Co-invest for Ohio similar to Arizona
  12. If a team or org reduces budget without hurting product roadmap, reward them.
  13. Reduce divided at right time
  14. accelerate optimizing real state footprint
  15. sell further shares of mbly
  16. Executives should be encouraged to reduce comp & instead get equivalent $ amount in form of RSUs.
  17. Invest on employees to deepen their skillset so less hiring need and employees see a better future to stay
  18. Offer ESPP (additional) at a higher discount maybe 20% & grant after a year instead of 6 months. Still keep 6 months one as well.

I think these are excellent, but no one cares!

Some good ideas, but Intel has more fundamental problesm.

  1. No path to success with IDM 2.0 strategy. (strategy is broken)
  2. Too many employees with no real charter, interfering and disturbing those that should to the real job.
  3. No true reporting. Nobody wants to here any bad news. Lies culture!!!

Instead of letting go actual talent, they need to get rid of upper management. There are so many useless managers, VP's, etc all making stupid A*S decisions while smoking a bowl of pot.

intel's problem is product. if there is no breakthrough for manufacture or chip architecture in near future, crash is unavoidable, no matter how do you cut the cost.

They could cut down on hiring H-1Bs. It' s estimated that each temporary H-1B worker wastes $30,000 just in processing and legal fees.

Those ideas will not even put a dent in the problems at Intel. Intel has too many unethical managers that lie, deceive etc...

The number one thing that all of Intel can do is to: tell the truth always, stop deceptions and bring back adherence to Intel's original core principles of open and direct communication etc...

They need to offer retirement packages for people 60 and older in AZ. this will reduce payroll by a good amount. Get rid of half of the middle and upper management. And reduce Pat's compensation to $5 until stock is returned to at least $50

OMG, we should accelerate laying off people that offer completely bogus advice like this. I almost can't believe that you think these are all real solutions. How did you ever get hired?

LOL, seriously, there are government regulations on ESPP. You, my friend, should keep your mouth shut, and your keyboard fingers from moving. Seriously, I would say more but this site censors every word that would melt snowflakes like you.

Last but not least, fire all of the armchair warriors that think they know jack about running a fortune 500 company.

There are so many execs and middle manahgement who refuse to budge. That is the problem. Any structural changes will be ineffictive until a big portion of management is replaced.

Intel's problems are having too many useless people doing too many useless tasks.
