I spoke with some of my colleagues and were told they were ok after the call. Looks like I am the only one haven’t been told.

People lie or embellish chatter all the time. My experience is not to believe anybody; especially when it comes to rumors regarding layoffs.
the dudes with 30+ years who post on here are the shittiest people .... of course you aren't going being laid off.... but they'll make sure to take the time to post to remind all the management here. Douche

Does the AM know if any bargained for employees will be laid off in the next several months? As of now, there isn't any chatter of this from management or the union.
Clarification: HR does NOT have any say in employee headcount reductions. It's your leadership who decides and your immediate supervisory staff knows how many headcount will be cut well in advance. HR processes the paperwork but doesn't decide who gets chopped.
Pretty stupid for folks to tell you that. Also pretty stupid of the AM to call folks. But you’re probably obvious to what’s going on in that group so you probably out. Sorry.
Some may know and some may not be sure. HR has the final say and could bump someone. But if you’re one of the lowest ranked people in the group, you should have an idea that your one your way out. If some got the Outstanding ranking or High ranking, they probably know they are good. But if you have a low ranking, your are probably on the list of folks. And it’s not your AMs responsibility to tell you that. You should have an idea where you are based on your previous performance.
If that is the way your leadership team communicates that you have been let go, they are really absolute ChickenSh*t Leaders!! What a weasel way to communicated to a team. Unbelievable wimps!

@OP+1kUB2EFf - keep your hope up and maybe you will survive it. We can’t control it unfortunately. Nothing in life is certain only death and taxes. You will be fine just save what you can and bounce right back.
They always know. It just depends on the number they are asked to cut.
