RUN FAST, because the Injuns are coming, the Injuns are coming. They are already here running some of America's biggest corporations including GOOGLE.
So, the takeaway for us should be that not only are they F'ing our wives, daughters, sisters, etc.; the Injuns are also F'ing our once great American companies!
It boggles my mind when colleagues are asked to essentially go train their replacement(s) in one of these low-cost countries. Seriously, if we all told managers "No" for training, the he-l are they going to do? They'll fire us either wa

Holy grail my a-s. Turnover in these foreign countries is higher than in the US. Those folks put up with xom for a few years (long enough for the resume and maybe get a couple trips out of the country) then they leverage that into a local company where they can actually have a future.
They aren't dummies.
The jobs at XOM will go to spineless yes men and women. Guess where they are going :)

@yah+1kVdNIYT sorry but this is typical EM arrogance at its best. EM is often regarded as a “very good” (as in the relative assessment category) company in developing countries, but far from top tier except in the absolute bottom of job markets like sub-saharan Africa or Guyana. The rest of the world knows what FAANG is.
It is fairly amazing to witness in the upstream the increasing percentage of Indians in the workforce. As an American I’d get more agitated about this until I realize that they are coming on to a sinking upstream ship. Exploration is gutted. Once Guyana is done, the party is largely over.
One must understand that for young graduates in developing countries, with high unemployment rate and overall difficult economic conditions, getting a job at EM is like finding the Holy Graal. Not only for them, but for the whole enlarged family.
No question you have happy employees there and disgruntled ones in the HC10 countries whose job is being offshored.
Everyone knows it's coming, outsourcing has growing tentacles that will affect everyone. I've been in the meetings with the MSP and the GBC's when they discuss moving US jobs. And let me tell you, Leadership does not care about US workers.
The GBC's have "happy" workers unlike the "grumpy" workers......this was in a PowerPoint that was presented to VIPs at XOM.
