Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Why do you care what anyone at Wells Fargo rates you?!

I see all the posts on here about Oh I got meets, exceeds, needs improvement, etc. Why on this earth would anyone care what you get rated by such a shady bank that has paid gazillions in fines for unethical behavior, consumer and employee abuses?!!

Live free, live in the land where it doesn't matter what that place thinks of you! When you get to the Pearly Gates some day, the gatekeeper is not going to send you to He-l based on how you got rated at Wells. In fact, he might just send you to the promised land for your tenure there, because you already did your time in he-l! As did I.

I'm a former employee and I left there because I was sick and tired of their corporate BS and I will forever despite that company, so long as I'm still breathing on this earth. I do not care what any clown at that bank thinks of me and you shouldn't either! They should be more concerned with what their regulators, employees, customer and shareholders think of them!!!!

That is one of the d-mbest questions on this entire site. That's like saying why do we care if we get raises or not.

It's a game. Your manager likes you or not, it's as simple as that

Um, because ratings are often tied to compensation and even employment?

I still don’t understand why companies do these reviews. They are obviously subjective. I had a direct report and they literally told me what to rate her with absolutely no input from me.

We're all here for the money! If it were fun, we'd be paying them and it would be called vacation.

We all have bills to pay so spare us the righteous BS. Good for you being in a better place than the hard working 260,000 trying to make a better life for ourselves and our families. Ratings from a toe the line mo--n unfortunately do mean something when it comes to pay which again is why we're all here.

Management @ Wells Fargo has failed to earn anyone's respect. Without that, no credence can be given to their silly popularity contest they call an annual performance review. As a person and a professional, I say kiss my a-s in Macy's window!

Because rating drives compensation pay.

I could not care less about my “rating”. It’s corporate BS with no ability whatsoever to affect my life outside this company.

I could not care less what my manager thinks or says about me. His values are not my values.

Maybe it’s easy for me because I’m close to retirement and would love a layoff. But I never really did care much about that petty nonsense. If you don’t like my work build your case and get rid of me. Otherwise, enjoy your little corporate power plays. They don’t affect me.
