I found it just a place to vent frustrations with former Ford people. I was assured they'd find me a job, but that wasn't true. Rt Mgmt platitudes were cute - but their follow through was non-existent. I had even applied for a job at Rt Mgmt, but they lost my application. When I confronted them about it - they simply said "oops, better luck next time". When my obligatory 6-months ended, I still had no job. So I threw out their materials and went to lunch with a friend. The next day she told her boss about me, and he called / hired me that afternoon for a part-time position. Maybe Ford should skip the middle man and simply give the Rt Mgmt fees to us. We'll find our own job thank you very much.

I had a very good experience with Right Management. A lot of their content is for contemporary job hunting. Some of their counselors are not good, but you can ask for a replacement. My first couselor was inexperienced and new to the company, hired for the Ford 'rush' with a lot of pedantic advice. I was able to switch and ended up with a top-notch one. I have been pleasantly surprised with their live webinars and even the 800 hot line for career advice. Their virtual career fairs suck: waiting in a queue to IM with an HR rep.

Yes, I used them and my coach was good. I feel she did help me; only thing I did not like was their “free upskill training” which is generally cr---y.

They pestered me once a week for 6 months to come in and let them help me. I had prior experience and told them nope, I wasnt interested. They still kept calling, probably because they got paid for each body they ran through their system. That is a useless operation in my view.

Right Management reminded me of when I was in commission sales, and pushing extended warranties. You know for... Peace of mind. LOL

Worst counsellors; they talk and talk but dont really help. They use an algorithm to review your resume that transforms it into a template thats like every other cv. They have online ' career fairs ' think of it like speed dating interviews. Without their help I reached out directly to HR and Directors of companies I wanted to work for and in 2 months after being SIRP'd landed an incredible position at a tech co.
IMO, do the work yourself, trust your experience for your resume and interviews.

I was actually surprised on the support I got with using Right Management. As Ford employees we rely on our employee profiles for a lot of internal job postings. Right Management helped me with positivity updating my resume for using for new external job postings. I was pleasantly surprised on the positive coaching and suggestions they made.

A complete waste of time. They have counsellors who tell you that losing your job is not your fault and you are a good person and its a gateway to new and better opportunities. Watch an hour of Dr Phil instead.
