Take your number of eligible vacation days per year divide by 52 and then multiply that by number of weeks you will have worked that year up to 'surplus'

Example:
28 Vacation days a year divided by 50 = 0.54 days a week
Last day is March 24, 2023 which is 12 weeks
So payout would be 6.5 days (52 hours) roughly.
This is because you actually do not have 28 days you EARN as worked BUT AT&T front loads. If you take 28 days and it is only June and you leave they 'may' take that money back or withhold from last check etc..

For most laidoff employees, you will receive 2 paid vacation days. That is a day for Jan and a day for Feb. If you used more than 2 days vaca, T will deduct from your severance. Isn't life grand?

The question seems a bit vague, but in general, vacation pay at separation is mandated by state laws.

For example, in California, the company is required to pay out for all non-used vacation days, but not for any unused sick days (if offered). That means if you're in California and have accumulated 400 hours of unused vacation, T will have to pay you 10 weeks of salary (the 400 vacation days) on top of whatever other severance they offer.

Dude, please explain the benefit to T if it pays out 104 weeks of severance pay to bargained for employees rather than keeping them working and having them retire on their own accord? Sure, it will save on paying benefits to the employees, but it still has to pay out those wages over 2 years and T is in no position to do that for 100-150 or so technicians.

CRAFT WILL NOT BE AFFECTED BY LAYOFFS, PERIOD! Craft is needed in many areas of the country especially in the out of region states where T has no foot print. T is having a difficult time back filling positions lost to various reasons. I know bargained for employees are hoping to be offered an early out, but it's not going to be offered. Techs will stay employed as long T keeps growing the business in various states where they are needed.

I'm so hoping for the VTP on March 15th per CWA/Leg T contract in which I'll get 104 weeks pay, however I'm wondering if I'll get my 5 weeks vacation in the 2nd year of the payout. LMFAO
