Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I learnt something today

Afterall, base pay is not the floor.

I have never gone through this experience and always equated base pay almost as min wage. Nothing will happen to base pay. Bonuses might go away, but base pay is the floor.

Not really.

Base pay got cut? Wow that is a line in the sand... The pitch they make when you get hired is that the EB is used to modulate expenses in goid/bad times not the base... This sounds like the wheels are coming off...

I’ve been through this a few times in other industries. We’ll see if they do the payback plus interest like the others did.

When your company leaders would rather pay billions to stock holders versus preserve that cash for things like paying their employees you wonder about the leadership.

With base pay cuts they crossed all red lines.
