Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Announcement next week

I have heard from a senior manager that an announcement is coming next week, that ties in with early Feb predictions etc

So most likely an email with announcement on Monday, invites sent Tuesday and people told Wednesday

Can anyone confirm if we get any inspire points if we are laid off? I only need a few more thousand until I can get a new toaster or vacuum. Would hate to leave and not have a new toaster.

@bec+1kYo88Ih - I am cashing my reward points in for gift cards for Bass Pro Shops, or Guitar Center. I don't want anything Dell . I am an FSE and hope I am on the list but I doubt I would be so lucky.

No, IBP is usually given at 100% for reduction in force employees only. Remaining employees will get what the projected payout may be. For this year it is projected to be less than 100%.

Is if the people getting laid off are receiving 100% bonus does that mean the rest will too?

"Is every business unit affected, or are some exempt like apex and edge"

All BUs will be affected. The busier units like Apex, Edge, vxRail, Powerflex, etc., are just cleaning out the bottom performers. This is not a bad thing as it is incredibly hard to get rid of poor performers these days.

"100% accurate - invites will include zoom link, and then a copy of that is sent private to HR, notice is the 7th, exit date will be the 10th. if you agree to terms you get 100% of your IBP unless your actively on a pip - in that case your f**, get a lawyer."

It would be unusual for Dell to do a wide announcement ahead of time. There isn’t going to be one big event - cuts have already been happening, they will continue to happen.
