Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel rank and file- its time to UNIONIZE

The only way to retain your wages and
restore meritocracy is to unionize. ELT is beholden to Wall Street and not the workers who make Intel what it is.

Unionizing scares the hex out of upper management and that's the only way to get your messages across that you are unhappy, that leadership is poor and needs to be held accountable.

And for all you would be trolls - it was unions and class struggle who got you overtime, 5 day work week, benefits, social security and safety in the workplace. So trolls - go stifle!

Union and meritocracy is an oxymoron. Unions protect the losers while extracting membership fees. You don't like Intel's current salary, bonus, etc.? Just look for another job with a better company. Take the gift of your services elsewhere. That's what I'm doing.

Commies love unions but this time it’s actually a good idea. All the lazy, good for nothing commies can form their union and then management can fire them all. Employees that actually do work can then get their salaries restored.

I was unionized. It's just a grift. The top union bosses make more then the workers and they use the money to pump up candidates that have never had a real job. Then those people get in office and implement policies that destroy the county.

Don't destroy the country, vote 'NO' on the d-mb unionization idea.

I see people really enjoy being wage slaves to their capitalists overlords.

I understand- you've been conditioned that way from birth and schooling to be obedient workers who are disposable.

You complain of reduction and stagnation of pay while your masters still rake in millions with no accountability. And your anecdotal 'my spouse unionized and hates it' doesn't compare to the facts of what labor movements have gotten you,, the modern worker.

Hundreds and thousands of Americans died at the hands of union busters so you could enjoy the benefits and rights today.

Those were real courageous people who fought. But you are not taught that part of history because the ownership class wants your obedience

We have unions in Finland and they can’t do anything to us, confirmed by HR.

I wouldn't want my compensation tied to others, especially if my skills are better. A union just adds another layer of bureaucracy and can negotiate against my will on my behalf. I doubt 10,000 engineers could come to an agreement on what qualifies as meritocracy. Seniority would be a joke as well as many would just coast. Giving up autonomy to a larger group makes no sense to me.

No thanks, I'll pass.

F$ck unions.

If you don’t like the conditions, leave.

Meritocracy works in the broader market as your merits will get rewarded elsewhere.

Intel used to have a lot of people with first hand knowledge of "class struggle". What that leads to is not meritocracy, but paralyzation between capitalist greed and union greed.

Look at Boeing.

Personally, I was against unions for years, until BK came along. BK changed my mind.
