Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

When are we hearing about the next phase of dynamic working?

March is a month away and people need to make arrangements. Any word?

It’s all about control and trust, signs of weak and insecure leadership.
No wonder Fidelity is having such a hard time recruiting talent.
Trust and treat your employees like professionals and they will give you 120%.
Trust people to do the right thing for their specific situation and if they abuse the trust, then crack down on them specifically.

How do you know you were more successful for the company working from home? You may have been more successful for yourself, by working for home, but for the company, you don't really know. Define was successful is?

@bzew+1kYxze7E No one is crying obviously. Laying out fact based, common sense reasons why going back to the archaic ways doesn’t work is meant to help the business. Unfortunately your bullying tactics motivate no one but you already know that, right?

Cry all you want about having to go in...but you're going to have to go in. Play time and working half days is over.

Hey @arco+1kYxze7E people will not and should not be influenced to forget the fact that they worked from home, very successfully, for 3 years. Thankfully you have no influence over anyone.

Pretending that going back to an archaic system is best for the business is wrong. No excuses.

hey your all, remember how you worked before Covid and how you had to manage being a mother, father or whatever and still go to work. Ya...get back to that. You know how to do it....you did it before. No excuses.

8ebv+1kYxze7E it concerns me if you actually work here, that you are walking around with this much blatant anger among us. If you can’t understand very simply why people might want to see something official posted, I wouldn’t call you the smart one here.

For people with kids it is really hard to plan without knowing what is going to happen for summer months as far as dynamic working/ work from home. My kids are old enough to be home while I work from home but too young to be left completely alone. Camps fill up quickly but we don’t know what weeks our kids need camp at this point.

According to a DW held by HR it will not be increasing to 2 weeks for everyone. But some BUs are requesting >1 week.

March should be the same as Jan and Feb. I’ve heard they will increase the mandatory in office time from one week to two weeks a month beginning in either April or June/July.

Will it be one continuous week they schedule for us and we can choose the other five days? Or will they choose both for us as continuous weeks?

I wish they’d listen to the fact based rational feedback about how more forced in office time will reduce productivity and reduce the quality of life overall for people. But they haven’t listened yet so I doubt they’ll start now.
