They should have got rid of 25000 people in 2018 to match gm. Ford is not making as much stuff as it was 5 years ago.

It's about to happen, no question. And they won't make the same mistake twice with doing it so late in the year. I think you'll see something happened by end of Q1.

Yes. It can't happen soon enough! JF - you and your so-called executive leadership team don't have the courage or leadership work ethic to cut headcount! Even a furniture guy could reduce headcount quicker! What are you waiting for??? Get it done!

It is coming very soon. And the people posting that about it being legacy areas will be shocked and crying when they are given the boot too. Brazil and Mexico is the future of Ford salaried. Jim and Bill won't be satisfied into the only building still on use in Dearborn is the glass house.

Next thing is discovery of creative accounting and falsifying financial docs…....oh well …if you make less cars globally than in the past do you need the same amount of employees or less or more? Let’s put 2022 in a deep grave….

It's about time Ford cut headcount! Let's start with agency heads, advertising budgets, contractors... Then the work from home staff who won't return to office!

@dqy+1kZagG0x are you on "CRACK". If it not for the F-Series ICE you would not even be at Ford. You act like an id--t who would take the Titanic even when you know it will sink.
JF cannot be trusted. he has lied before he will lie again. BF is another clueless one. He had the keys before nearly ran us into chapter 11. WAY IN OVER HIS HEAD. Look at that Train Station Debacle. He should have been removed form the COB right then and there.

@qdy - R u joking? The legacy businesses? You mean the ones that pay all the bills? Don’t be short sighted. There is no model e or ford next without ford blue. It’s not like flipping on a light switch. Who do you think funds all those unprofitable areas? Do you think the 100k lost vehicle sales they mentioned were coming from Model e? Nope. Maybe if Farley was watch both sides of the house quality wouldn’t be in the toilet. Don’t bite the hand that feeds.

He is not wrong that we need to trim all the legacy businesses headcount in the company. Ford+ Plan lays this out. There is no point carrying the burden for product segments that we are exiting.

On the other hand, Model e and software activities are clearly in growth mode, so do not consider this all negative news.
