Oil Is On The Way Out

According to Axios, peak oil is expected to occur around 2030. This is earlier than many experts had believed, and it is based on the US’s shift back toward renewables. Douglas A. McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief of Climatecrisis247, explains,

The USA is actually moving away from renewables. World population increasing. Third world is gaining access to energy.

Peak oil cannot happen for 30 to 50 years.

Peak oil might happen involuntarily at 30 years if exploration fails to replace produced quantities.

Axios has always been biased garbage. Oil is used for more than fuel and the third world will be continually increasing demand.

I thought Darren predicted 2050 and beyond. Of course it’s self serving message. Also pays to have politicians in your pockets to limit alternatives.

@b5 It’s a generally reliable news outlet.

That said, I think predicting when a commodity will “peak” is a fool’s endeavor, and this article is no exception.
