Below is a summary of the types of posts that mods typically delete (not my own, it is taken from another thread):

• foul language and derogatory speech (towards named individuals or groups)
• names, personal info (PII) of employees or mgrs (c-level's ok as they are public figures)
• threats
• trolling
• spamming (or tons of posts with the similar text)
• impersonating someone in a misleading or deceptive manner
• off-topic posts like political or religious rants
• direct advertising
• illegal and proprietary content

I came to the US on an H1B years ago. Even when on an H1B I held the opinion that the majority of jobs done by h1b employees could be done by Americans if given training. I have hired good American employees and trained them to do things they didn't have experience with.

H1B visas should be fixed term with no extensions with the goal being to fill temporary gaps and then train Americans to do jobs before leaving.

I have repeatedly observed this site deleting posts in recent years. It would be nice if they posted their guidelines here someone on what are considered unacceptable posts that will be subject to removal. Just tell us ok?

it is kind of odd that a society that created most of the modern technology
need people from countries that don't have even clean piped water

Guess those H1B comments touched raw nerves on the collective backsides of Alvind and his Pipmunks, and maybe even drew blood. LOL.

The thin skinned executives (reprobates) are getting very touchy about comments posted at this site because the truth hurts and it hurts a lot. But then, the truth shall set you free...if you weren't laying off so many Americans, you wouldn't have these ugly comments posted about IBM and it's leaders, would you?

But we were told that there are some skills in short supply and we need people.

But why don’t we import the top 10 percent? It’s frikkinnn insane that we have to get stuck with people who got selected because of quotas.

How about we import less people? Why is that controversial? We have no obligation to India

The post talked about the disparity among H1B and how there’s widespread discrimination against the Hindus because lower qualified candidates had reserved seats.
This is a major issue and needs to be addressed.
