Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Americas Sales Perpetual LR

The announcement last week on the Americas All Hands is very telling for several reasons.

First, Rachel’s announcement of more LR for the next several quarters is setting the stage for LRs every quarter moving forward. They will not be called LRs or Rebalancing but essentially will be getting rid of people at random every quarter. Let that sink in. Your employment is on a quarter by quarter basis now.

Second, it is obvious after last week that she is NOT a very good communicator. She has to read from a teleprompter and script. She tries to come off as a great communicator and what we witnessed last week was pathetic.

Third, she claims to be transparent but that is the furthest thing from the truth. The only reason she is delaying the LR announcement for sales are due to her numbers being awful. She wants you to help her out before she gets rid of you.

Fourth, she is spending all this money to have her SLT fly to all these locations with her for meetings. What about Hybrid Work. Does she not support that. Her extravagant expenses are taking away expenses for the field sales.

The icing on the cake is seeing the entire Cisco sales executive leadership team fly out to Australia, while simultaneously you’ve been told that you’re not allowed to travel to meet with existing or potential customers to try and expand sales, nor can you take them out to dinner if they’re local.

Great for Arista, Microsoft, Palo Alto, etc that Cisco has a sales leadership team that cannot communicate with a customer

Pretty obvious Rachel is in over her head. She's a terrible communicator and is not great in front of customers (probably because of point one).

Since Chuck became CEO sales have been flat despite spending $200B in mostly failed acquisitions
Without replacing these sales leader clowns now, revenues will continue to decrease along with layoffs

Blame Sharritts for hiring her into this role
Both should be fired and replaced with qualified sales leaders
