Yeah take it as long as you want.. then Don't worry about being employed.. your choice..vacation or job..
Nothing happens over the holidays and offices are deader n dead. So yes.

RNR needs approval, and is dependent upon staffing needs. Your manager is not required to grant your request.
You say that you will take the time unpaid. That isn't the question here. If you take the time without approval you risk losing your job and unemployment benefits for 'abandonment' of your position.
Is this your 1st job or are you stirring the pot here?
