I keep hearing hints of things NOT going in this direction, getting more lax

  • We heard your feedback, everyone back to the office --> Buildings are mostly empty
  • We are testing Dynamic Working and will make changes based on feedback ---> company creates manager training guides with sample language for how to respond to common associate concerns they've heard about dynamic working
  • We are transparent --> No transparency into the long term plan or feedback they are receiving.
  • Giving associates flexibility is important --> You must come in a specific number of days on the specific days we tell you. We will monitor your badge in and out, and if you don't there will be disciplinary action.
  • Building a culture is important and everyone must come back ---> True for current employees but company is hiring full remote positions for similar job roles/titles. Current employees can apply for an exception but told don't bother applying because very few exceptions will be granted.

The company is entitled to do whatever it wants, but when people know they are being lied to they lose trust and respect which is hard to get back. Perhaps some attrition is part of the plan but seems short sighted in terms of talent retention.

Let's maybe dial back the talk of how green we are as a company if this is the path they are choosing. After a 60 minute drive to the office just to do totally 100% independent work for 8 hours I think I'm happy to not hear any more about the bloody beehives and solar panels.

Omg. Wake up, shower, shave and drive to the office. Workout while you are there. Quit being such a baby.

Stubborn old Abby can't let go of the past. Still calls herself "chairman" smh. Zero innovative spirit except fads like crypto. She needs to be removed!

And where’s the fairness? How come some people can move away and be fully remote? Uncool.

Weird, before Covid some groups were only going in 3, 2, or 1 day(s) a week, so why punish us? We can do wfh with record profits. I’m already at my wits end with how tiring, expensive, and pointless it is. Some people can move away and never go in. Wtf.
