3M exits PFAS business. The job cuts unfortunately at cottage grove are just beginning. Shutting down the incinerator to please the politicians in St. Paul didn't help the site. Now this. Get your resumes up to date and hope for the best.
The company should have just told the politicians to sc--w it and keep making profits. Mike is even worse than the guy forced out of Disney.
At least CG and 3M Center are safe this week. Can't believe they'd layoff anyone with Christmas on Sunday. Nor layoff people the week between Christmas and new year.

3M prides itself for innovation and having over 100k patents. Have they "patented" this layoff process? Even the goons at GE would love to emulate this stuff
Feeling bad for everyone laid off. Luckily I'm retired but got managed to be RIF so I got a check to leave at least, but I was ready to leave this menagerie of horrors.
Sorry for this who got the everyday wins points right before or after their ending date. 3M should have just hired George Clooney as lay off manager. It would have been better handled this way like to movie. What's more impersonal than laying off someone with 3rd party hr people? 3M saying happy holidays then giving you the ax! I had every day win points, selected my reward and never got it - then laid off.
I received 250 points for Christmas gift, but I am laid off with last day Dec 31st. How does that feel if it was you?
I wonder if people got their everyday wins points deposited to their account the same day they got canned. It's happened before. Only at 3M.
Seems very hypocrite that they just held an employee appreciation event thanking each and every 3M employee.
